Chairman of the Board / Facilitator / Chief Executive Officer

Omar Vasquez is a seasoned leader with a proven track record of service, advocacy, and transformation. He brings decades of leadership experience across the military, nonprofit, and relational development sectors. As a United States Marine, Omar served honorably in Operation Phantom Fury holding leadership roles as a scout, machine gunner instructor, and platoon sergeant—developing high-performing teams under pressure and leading with courage and discipline.

Following his military service, Omar transitioned into community leadership, serving as a Court-Appointed Special Advocate for children in Oklahoma judicial system and later as State Director for the Oklahoma Fathers Rights Movement. His leadership helped empower fathers and champion the importance of active, present parenting in family court systems. Though he continues to support fathers in their custody battles, Omar now devotes his energy to strengthening marriages—believing that fighting for the family is one of the most powerful ways to shape a child’s future.

Omar's leadership in education has been nationally recognized. As Chapter President of Alpha Pi Nu at Oklahoma State University OKC, he led his team to international recognition, earning the prestigious “Honors in Action” award among 1,300 chapters across 11 countries and was elected Regional President for Phi Theta Kappa Oklahoma/Arkansas Region. It was during this time that he met his wife, Cheryl, and together they now lead a blended family of seven children.

For over a decade, Omar has led couples through transformative experiences with Creating Intimacy & Respect. He is a certified SYMBIS and Financial Peace University facilitator, equipping couples with the tools they need to build lasting connection and resilience. His leadership is defined by compassion, clarity, and a vision to change legacies—one couple at a time.

 Cheryl Vasquez is a dedicated wife, mother, mentor, coach, and teacher with a wealth of experience in professional and personal development. Cheryl's journey is marked by her exceptional team leadership, conflict resolution, and organizational skills, making her a standout in any environment she engages with.
    With a strong background in business administration, Cheryl has honed her ability to foster cooperative team environments, ensuring that all members feel valued and heard. Her expertise extends across various levels and functions, demonstrating her versatility and capacity for coordination. Cheryl's meticulous record-keeping and adeptness in procurement processes highlight her attention to detail and commitment to excellence.
    In addition to her professional achievements, Cheryl is passionate about mentoring and coaching, guiding individuals to reach their full potential. She believes in the power of positive reinforcement and constructive feedback to build strong, resilient teams.
    Outside of her professional life, Cheryl enjoys gardening, reading, and participating in outdoor activities. These hobbies not only provide her with a sense of relaxation but also inspire her to bring creativity and balance into her work.

Board of Directors/ Counselor & Manager / Chief Financial Officer

In 2012, after Katie and her husband Paul attended the Couples Seminar, Mrs. Kadane began working in various staff roles supporting CIR.

Mrs. Kadane serves as General Manager with CIR with a hands-on involvement with the day-to-day functions and business operations, setting the tone, vision and culture of the Board in the daily operations.  In 2018, she was also nominated to serve on the Board of Directors because of her knowledge of CIR and because she has her Masters of Arts in Professional Counseling.  She plays a vital role in supporting the Board with an overview of the day-to-day workings of CIR as well as the emotional environment and safety needs for the training programs.

     Katie Kadane received her Bachelor of Science in Christian Counseling in 2012 and went on to receive her Master of Arts in Professional Counseling in 2016 from Liberty University.  Recently, she received a Certification in Military Resilience in order to better help our service members and their families.  In addition, she is also Certified by SYMBIS to provide couple assessments to assist them to better communication, understand one another, resolve conflict and more.

     The Kadane's are active Members and Volunteers at Heartland Church.  They have been married since 2005 and have two beautiful children.

Advisory Council  

 Justin Black has been married to his wife, Shelli since 2005, together they raised 2 foster daughters, Erica, and Renita, who are now grown adults. Justin and Shelli are currently raising their 2 biological children, Isabella, and Joseph. Justin is the LifeGroups/LifeMissions Pastor at Life.Church Midwest City. He has been in full time ministry since 2011 and has always had a passion to see marriages thrive and be restored. This is due to Justin and Shelli nearly losing their marriage to infidelity, but through perseverance and dedication they fought for restoration. Now he looks to share their story to help others find hope.
